It has been exactly half a year since we announced the launch of our new brand — CENTRAVIS. Before this we passed through a 2-year period of a well-coordinated and laborious work of our international team. During this time we managed to define our mission, vision, strategy, beliefs and principles of a new company and also a specific plan of activities till 2010.
As you know the strategic goal of CENTRAVIS is to become one of the global companies in the industry of seamless stainless tubes and pipes. In order to reach this objective till 2010 we map out to make a breakthrough in the following areas of business development: management principles, technical equipment, customer support, a world network of sales and manufacturing, innovations, corporate social responsibility, environmental control.
For realization of these ambitious goals in March 2008 the Directorate of strategy and business development starts its work at CENTRAVIS. The objective of the Directorate is a complex analysis and assessment of strategic alternatives of development of the holding with a further control over implementation of tactical decisions. Ilya Shirokobrod, who occupied the position of Sales and Marketing Director in the company during the last years, was appointed as the Head of the Directorate of strategy and business development.
Among the responsibilities of the Directorate of strategy and business development there are the following 5 directions:
1. Analysis of external and internal environment (industry / clients, competitors, suppliers, resources and competences, organizational structure, processes and management systems).
2. Strategy development (elaboration of strategic alternatives of the business and their assessment, development of procedures and stages of strategy realization, organization and conduction of strategic sessions, facilitation of setting strategic goals).
3. Strategy realization (projects — Value Based Management, Balanced Score Cards, preparation and participation in the realization of strategic projects, strategic control).
4. Special projects (M&A and, maybe, IPO)
5. Management of strategic functions (CENTRAVIS brand management, development of new products, project business running, PR, elaboration of CRM and management of a corporate website of the company).
In the connection with the establishment of the Directorate of strategy and business development at CENTRAVIS a range of structural and personnel changes is planned. First of all, forming of a separate sales department that will be headed by Sergey Svidunovich, who earlier occupied the position of the Sales Director on the market of the CIS. Secondly, forming of a separate department of strategic marketing as an organizational unit of the Directorate with a direct subordination to Ilya Shirokobrod, the Director of strategy and business development.
