The 50th anniversary of the cold shop of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE”

On December, 25th the solemn meeting and concert, devoted to the 50th anniversary of the cold shop of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE”
In the hall there was a photo-exhibition devoted to development of TDS. Shop veterans and young workers scrutinized the yellowed from time photos with interest. “For 50 years TDS experienced everything: both progressive development of production,and economic crisis, ups and downs of the market age”, such words opened the solemn meeting. “The shop got its rebirth in 2000 when CJSC “Nikopol Plant of Stainless Steel Tubes” was established on its base that laid the foundation for development of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE”. And today TDS is one of the most powerful productions in the world manufacturing the precision tubes from stainless steel grades according to more than 100 domestic and international standards.”
The vice-chairman of Board of Directors of the Holding CENTRAVIS Vasily Atanasov greeted the “gold fund” of TDS. The working career of Vasily Rodionovich for more than ten years was connected with TDS: in this shop he passed a way from assistant rolling mill operator to deputy shop manager. “Today those who were already taken away with time are present also here. They are with us constantly, I feel it every time I pass the shop bays”, Vasily Rodionovich said. “During the last years the shop is being developed by leaps and bounds. We improve the technologies, extend the product mix that allows us to enter the new markets successfully”, CEO of CJSC “CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE” Yuriy Atanasov said. “Today production of our enterprise is presented all around the world. Herewith we are getting rid of the illusion that the expensive equipment guarantees the good results. We understand more and more that the most important are people, experts, precise understanding of tasks, mastering of production technique. Only this together with the team work guarantees the result … Today we feel the huge responsibility for making the future of the Company not less glorious, than that history we are so impressed with.”The people were also greeted by HR and administrative director Vitaly Lyutyk, Anatoly Shakhov, shop manager of1984-86, chairman of the enterprise trade union Nikolay Siziy, as well as the guests of honour – chairman of the trade union regional committee of metallurgists and miners of Ukraine Vasily Shevchenko and mayor of Nikopol Sergey Starun. “50 years of TDS is a significant date both for the enterprise and for the town”, Sergey Vladimirovich said. “Your history is a modern history of the town, as Nikopol was quite different the decades ago. The town was being built and developed together with development of the production, and got its modern appearance owing to the basis created by the older generation. At the solemn meeting the best workers of TDS, according to the holiday enterprise order, were awarded with monetary premiums, letters of commendation, valuable presents, flowers and souvenir medals. “50 years of shop working are behind, and a great and restless labour life, full of new bold plans and projects is ahead! Well, a great ship needs deep waters! And may it be successful! A fair wind to your sails!” these were the parting words of the solemn meeting.”
