In 2007 Centravis started the long-term program of company technical modernization with total investment of $ 100 million.

In Hot Shop were installed new extrusion press 4400 ton force, including induction furnace and new non-destructive testing equipment in the finishing area. The major suppliers of equipment are German companies IAS and SMS-Meer. The new extrusion press allowed to extend products range on outside diameter (42-245 mm) and wall thickness (4-35 mm), with the maximum tube length 25m. Capacity of the new extrusion line is about 34 000 tons per year. New extrusion line allows the company to increase the output, to reduce production costs as well as automated process improves quality and productive capacity.

Cold Shop modernization mainly related to the new continuous finishing line including bright annealing furnace LOI to produce tubes with outside diameter of 12-60 mm and maximum length of 26m. Capacity of new continuous finishing line is 8 000 tons per year. The base of the line – tubes cold rolling on liquid lubricants, oils, tubes degreasing technology by water-based solutions, bright annealing and pipeline operation principle. New implemented stream-line technology and equipment provide capacity increase, products high quality and yield coefficient reduction and also allow to exclude etching and essentially reduce duration and costs for handling operations.

Upgrade of Cold Shop production capacities is also related to the following equipment install:

· cold pilger mill ХПТ 6-20: production of tubes with OD 6-20 mm

· 2 KPW-25 mills (of the leading German supplier SMS-Meer): production of tubes with OD 8-30 mm

· cold pilger mill ХПТ 40: production of tubes with OD 20-63 mm

· cleaning unit og American company Tiyoda

· new U-bending line including hydrotesting and heat treatment equipment for the bending radius 19,05-1250 mm

· NDT Equipment (supplied by US company MAC) for tubes with OD 25-127 mm.

Today, the total number of rolling mills in the Cold Shop is 35 mills, 24 for large diameter tubes and 11 for smaller diameters.

Successful modernization of production process of Centravis makes possible confident development in the context of demanding requirements in the industry and the customers confidence growth.
