ADIPEC 2016: Strategies for the new energy landscape

CENTRAVIS participated in the 19th International Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2016, the largest industry event in the Middle East, which took place on 7 - 11 November 2016 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.

Oil & gas field of Arabian Gulf basin historically is one of the richest in natural resources regions of the world and the role of the Middle East in the global economy is extremely high. About 2/3 of the world’s oil reserves is located in the Gulf countries, the UAE oil proven reserves are estimated at 100 billion barrels, which is about 1/10 of the world’s reserves. Currently, the world’s gas reserves are about 150 trillion cubic meters of gas, 6 trillion cubic meters are located in the United Arab Emirates.

Modern energy landscape forces all players in oil & gas industry – from exploration, upstream and downstream production, to suppliers of equipment, components and technologies to take initiative to develop and implement innovative solutions to meet a complex technical and business challenges. Thus, access to reliable information and advanced developments in the industry is an essential element for a successful business operation.

ADIPEC is a kind of a flagship event, the leading knowledge sharing platform, the point to meet oil and gas professionals at the highest level and establish new contacts. International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference is supported by UAE Ministry of Energy, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. This year the exhibition was at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre covering 130,000 m2, including a targeted show at the pier with moored offshore platforms and service vessels. Over 95,000 attendees and 8,500 conference delegates from 120 countries visited ADIPEC 2016.
