CENTRAVIS supplied tubes for Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant

CENTRAVIS, leading global manufacturer of high-quality seamless stainless tube solutions, supplied tubes for the two steam generators for Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant, which were transported in a new mixed way including transportation on a custom-made barge along the Moscow river

On June 16th, a barge with an oversized cargo – two giant steam generators (430 tons each) for Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant produced by ZiO Podolsk – passed along the Moscow River near the Kremlin walls, reported MetalInfo. All steam generators tubes were manufactured and supplied by CENTRAVIS, maintaining long-term cooperation with ZiO Podolsk plant.

Then, steam generator went to Sosnoviy Bor station along the Moscow river, channels, lakes and water reservoirs by barge and, after that, to the construction site by a special purpose vehicle. For the first time, Podolsk steam generators were delivered to the Nuclear Power Plant in a mixed way, including custom-made 70 meters barge for deck cargo designed for heavy oversized cargo transportation. ZiO Podolsk is a part of Atomenergomash – mechanical engineering division of Rosatom Corporation, one of the leading power plant companies of the Russian Federation
