CENTRAVIS at Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS) 2017

Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2017) Exhibition & Conference was held in February at Cairo International Conference-Centre (CICEC) under the patronage of the President and with the support of the Ministry of Oil & Mineral Resources of Egypt. The exhibition became the largest event dedicated to oil & gas sector of Egypt and the North African region.

EGYPS 2017 reflected the strategy of the Egyptian government aimed at active attraction of investments to oil & gas sector, promotion of new projects, full upgrade of refining industry and gaining insights into the wider North African region. The other basis for this large-scale event was the discovery of Zohr gas field by ENI with proven reserves of about 1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas and increased level of oil extraction in El Zeit and El Shawish fields. Egypt’s oil and gas sector continues to demonstrate flexibility in responding to the changing industry outlook to reach the right balance between securing economic sources of energy to the country whilst ensuring competitive returns to investors.

EGYPS 2017 gathered more than 10 000 visitors, 320 companies from over 20 countries and became not only the largest oil and gas show in the country but the largest technical conference of the industry including 28 technical sessions that tackled some of the most imminent tech topics in the energy sector.

“Visiting the show gave us an insight about the scale of the industry development, understanding of competitive environment, required conditions to enter the market, possible promotion channels as well as local contacts to cooperate with in terms of our products sales and promotion”, – commented Fedor Smirniy, Regional Sales Manager for Middle East, CENTRAVIS. “In terms of projects, the most attractive for CENTRAVIS are the upgrade projects in refining. Port Said ENPPI & PETROJET Refinery, Assiut Refinery, construction of LNG terminals, general increase in the number of existing wells entail the need in process equipment including assemblies and components where the tubes & pipes of our range are used”.
